Feather flag bases are normally supplied as part of a complete feather flag, teardrop flag, or blade flag display system. The base type is selected according to the flag shape, pole structure, display height, installation surface, and intended application.

Common options include cross bases, ground spikes, water-supported bases, tire bases, and steel plate bases. The base and pole connection should be confirmed together to ensure that the spindle, connector, and lower pole section are compatible.

Base Selection for Different Surfaces

Soft Ground

Ground spikes are commonly used on grass, soil, sand, and other surfaces where the spike can be inserted securely.

Hard and Flat Surfaces

Cross bases, folding bases, fillable water bases, and steel plate bases are suitable for concrete, pavement, exhibition floors, and other flat surfaces.

A compatible water weight bag can be placed over a cross base when additional weight is required.

Vehicle Displays

A drive-on tire base is positioned under a vehicle wheel. It is commonly used for car dealerships, automotive exhibitions, roadside promotions, and temporary outdoor displays.

Indoor Displays

Cross bases and steel plate bases are commonly selected for exhibitions, retail spaces, entrances, showrooms, and other indoor applications where a ground spike cannot be used.

Matching the Base with the Flag Pole

Feather flag bases are not universally interchangeable. The base connector must match the lower pole section and the overall flag display system.
